THE 2019 EDUCATION PROMOTION PROGRAMME FOR PARENTS
On the 27th September 2019, The African Youth Architects launched Education Promotion Programme for Parents in Foni Wassadou, The Gambia
One of the major problems of basic schools in Africa is poor learning outcomes. Lack of active participation of parents in the education of their children is one of the factors that contribute to this problem. African Youth Architects believe that there is a need to orient the parents about their roles in enhancing the education of their children by actively assisting them in learning. Hence, we decided to organize an educational promotion program in order to put all the aforementioned solutions into practice. We are sure that this program will help to contribute to the attainment of the SDG 4 (To ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all). We are aware of the millions of children out of school in Africa. And we know that few children that are in schools are experiencing learning crisis. In African Youth Architects, we are determined to proffer lasting solutions to all these problems through evidence-based projects. We determined to orient thousands of parents, train thousands of teachers and promote access to education for thousands of children across Africa before 2030. We want to use this opportunity to urge you all to join us in the mission of promoting access to education and mitigating learning crisis so that we can unleash the full potential of children in Africa.
Promoting Access to Education and
Mitigating Learning Crisis:
We are aware of the millions of children out of school in Africa. And we know that few children that are in schools are experiencing learning crisis. In African Youth Architects, we are determined to proffer lasting solutions to all these problems through evidence-based projects. With research, issues affecting quality education in our respective countries can be identified, and subsequently, the attention of the department of education and lawmakers would be directed to address those issues.
